President Jose Cruz called the meeting to order @ 8:00 pm.
Treasurer’s report of $18,205.54 by John H.
The Agenda was as follows:
1) Ambassador and Industry Partner Updates
- One new bronze Ambassador/breeder and 6-7 new Industry Partners; Chuck’s Boots,
Vitalex, MO Farmers Care, Midwest Cattlemen, American Cattlemen, etc
- We lost 4 from last year-2 may come back next year, but have $6k this year vs. $4750
last year
2) Member Directory 2025-have 2 weeks to push this until we go to print
3) Spring Sale-date is 3/25, need entries signed up by 2/23/25 and quality photos and videos
asap w/$50 entry fee. Brett brought up the thought of increasing the minimum starting bids:
John H. moved and was seconded by Janet K. to start open females @ $2,000 and breds and
bulls @ $2,500. Passed. It was noted minimum commission rate taken by the online vendor
will go from $500 to $800, but we usually have no problem being over that amount from the
6% commission rate currently charged. Another reminder for sale entries will be sent out.
4) Shorthorn Country Ad- a discounted rate for a full-page ad of $810 has been offered to us.
Will be out mid-March, which will hopefully be in time for our sale. Info to be sent in by next
week. Janet K. moved and John H. seconded to go ahead with it and make half an MSA ad
and other half a sale ad for the spring sale. Passed.
5) MO Cattlemen’s Association annual meeting- booth by John H. and Bill B.-had a good
turnout and lots of interested attendees and current industry partners looking for bulls.
6) Missouri Beef Days Boliver-Brett went 2 years ago-8 days of events-John H. spoke w/them at
the MO Cattlemen’s Convention-willing to do a sponsorship/industry partner swap for silver
level of $1,000. John H. moved and Janet K. seconded to accept the swap. Passed.
7) American Cattlemen-currently in the works for our first ad for the March 1st issue-$2,000 ad
swap-second issue will be an October ad

Junior Nationals and getting teams organized-also discussed getting donation lots together
for the spring sale-will get those to Brett Naylor asap.

the buy/sell hidden feature for selling bulls, breeder ads, wanted ads, etc-discussion was
this may take away from our online sales-the topic was tabled.
